Our classroom becomes a working newsroom as we write and publish a class newspaper! Our Right Brain Curriculum instructors will teach you the craft of journalism, including investigative writing, interviewing, research, and editing. Don’t like that new school lunch they’re serving? Express your feelings on the editorial page. Going to the school soccer game? Bring your camera and reporter’s notebook and become a beat reporter for our sports section. On your way to the new Frozen sequel? Write a glowing or scathing review. We are looking for reporters, editors, photographers, and graphic designers! The Kids’ Newsroom, it’s hot off the press!’
A Lego City Comes to Life!
Gr. 2-5 (week 5)
Join our community as we build and govern a world-class Lego city, complete with everything needed for incoming residents! Build, budget, and furnish your own house. Plan a marketing campaign as you build your own business. Serve on the city council and vote to shape the city’s future as you help create a constitution of laws for your citizens. Our Right Brain Curriculum teachers will guide you – demonstrating how math, economics, and community-building are key to a successful, working urban environment. Social studies has never been so much fun!

Art Adventures: Inspired by the Masters

Step into our vibrant art studio, where each week you’ll embark on an inspiring adventure through the life and work of a legendary artist like Pablo Picasso, Yayoi Kusama, Frida Kahlo, Vincent Van Gogh, and more! Our Right Brain Curriculum instructor will help you dive deep into the artist’s unique style, discovering what makes their artwork extraordinary. Then, you’ll create your own masterpiece, drawing from the inspiration of the greats. The fun doesn’t end there! To celebrate your creativity, we’ll host gallery walks, where you’ll showcase your work and share your artistic vision with your classmates. Get ready to unleash your imagination and let your creativity shine!
