New England Fishing Academy provides young people in Gr. 3-9 with the opportunity to gain a greater love and appreciation for the outdoors through a unique and hands on fishing experience. We are in a variety of locations including but not limited to Boston, Cambridge, Concord and Groton, MA. We have options for everyone! From the novice to the expert, your child will have a genuinely memorable summer with us!

Looking for something new for your child? The New England Fishing Academy is perfect for any child who loves the outdoors and fishing or who expresses an interest in wanting to learn and try it out. They will not only have a great time, but they will learn from professional educators who are experts in coaching and teaching children. We educate, develop and give the confidence that every child needs to enjoy the great outdoors!

Craig is USCG OUPV Captain a member of Captains for Clean Water and The Saltwater Guides Association along with being the owner of a 28 ft. Grady White.

Chris leads Winterim trips for his school during the first two weeks in March. Most recently, he traveled with 12 high school students to Andros Island, BAHAMAS on a fly fishing excursion for bonefish. He is the operator of a 28 ft. Edgewater 280CX.

Sharing their love and knowledge of the water and its various fisheries is the reason why they created the New England Fishing Academy.

What is Provided?

  • All fishing rods, reels, permits, insurance, tackle, life jackets, bait and lures
  • Up to 2 instructors and 2 Junior Counselors which is dependent on camper numbers
  • Instruction at the dock on 28ft Center Console Fishing Boat- ( Boat safety and handling, rules of the waterways)
  • Professional qualifications, licensing and over 40 years combined experience in education and coaching

What to Bring

Campers are required to wear sneakers and athletic/comfortable clothing. We are trying to use less plastic cups, please encourage your camper to bring a reusable water bottle. There will be water refill stations all over campus. Campers may also have time at our water play area throughout the week, please pack a bathing suit for the week. Summer@BB&N provides towels, so no need to bring your own!
