Creative Writing Camp with Charlie Salkever

At Creative Writing camp, campers will learn skills of fiction writing through reading, writing exercises, games, and student workshops. Whether campers have never written a story or been published in the New Yorker, they can join Creative Writing camp to improve their writing skills and have fun! Topics covered will include genre, structure, tone, voice, characterization, imagery, building tension, and more! Charlie is a Columbia University degree candidate in Creative Writing with a specialization in fiction.

In addition to the writing exercises and games, campers will have time in their day to stretch and move during water sports time, recess, and large group games. Join creative writing camp for a well rounded camp experience!

What to Bring

Campers are required to wear sneakers and athletic/comfortable clothing. We are trying to use less plastic cups, please encourage your camper to bring a reusable water bottle. There will be water refill stations all over campus. Campers may also have time at our water play area throughout the week, please pack a bathing suit for the week. Summer@BB&N provides towels, so no need to bring your own!
